Generating Electricity from Passing Trains? Yes, We Can Do That!
Want to harness the power of hopping? Hook up some kind of device to a kangaroo, like me. But if you really want to generate some serious energy, try a passing train. That’s just what one scientist did. Lei Zuo has found a way to harness kinetic energy from passing freight and passenger trains. It’s really pretty cool. Now if we could find a way to generate electricity from our own movement, we’d have something.
